| Manoir du Carra, Beaujolais Villages, 2007 |
|
| This superb cuvee is produced from 70-100 year old vines. Also, bottled without filtration making this uncharacteristically complex for Beaujolais, without losing value for money, or the light fruity character that makes this wine so quaffable. |

| Prieure du Tracot, Brouilly, Dubost, 2006 |

From some of the greatest restaurants in the world to the shelves of its finest wine merchants (!), the Gamays from Jean-Paul Dubost (pronounced `Dubo' locally) are extremely highly regarded. The speciality here is their Brouilly, which comes from 75 year old vines. These are surprisingly rich wines with not inconsiderable tannins that reflect both Dubost's devotion to Gamay and also to quality. |

| Moulin a Vent, Manoir du Carra, 2006 |
12.75 |
The Sambardier family have 20 hectares of exceptionally well-exposed granite slopes in the southern Beaujolais hills above Denice, where they have been for generations. The Moulin a Vent cru vineyard is a recent addition to the domaine and the 2006 is his first vintage. Unfiltered, deeply-coloured and possessing lovely intensity of fruit. |
