Cognac and Armagnac
Edgard Leyrat, Fins Bois, Lot 10, Cognac
29.00
From the Fin Bois, this cognac expresses its terroir in sweet spice, flowers and fruit, unmasked by new oak. This 10yr old is very enjoyable and super value.

Maxime Trigol Grand Champagne VSOP Cognac
30.00
The chalky soil in Grand Champagne gives this Cognac its outstanding finesse and delicacy that only appears after some age. While VSOP only needs to be 4.5 years old by law, this cognac is derived from Brandies between 10-40 years old. It won Gold medal in its class both times it entered the international wine and spirit challenge, and the Judges Bernard Hine and the Chef de Cave at Remy, initially insisted that a mistake had been made, and that it need to be entered in the XO class. It came third….

Cognac Ragnaud-Sabourin, Alliance No.10, VSOP
39.00
The great traditions of the brand only to produce the best quality, in limited quantities have been upheld and perpetuated by the family’s women since 1850. The Alliance #10 offers up enticing notes of vanilla and old port; elegant in the extreme. This is Cognac for the true connoisseur

Maxime Trijol Grand Champagne XO Cognac
65.00
Trijol just don’t want to let go of their cognacs. XO by law needs to be 6 years old. This blend has an average of 35… The XO has amazing orange blossom, honey and rich oily texture, which will delight Cognac lovers and change your opinion of Cognac if you have yet to be convinced.

Baron de Sigognac Bas Armagnac 10 ans
24.00
After ten years ageing this spirit has achieved a blend of mild and fiery characteristics. It has a mixture of both fruity and spicy notes on the nose. Lots of roundness in the mouth with floral and woody flavours leading to a long and pleasing finish of grilled almonds and vanilla.

Citadelle Gin
25.00
19 different aromatics in this excellent smooth gin from the Cognac based distillery. Winner of a Gold medal in 2000 International Wine and Spirits Competition and given 95 points by Wine Enthusiast.

Citadelle Vodka
20.00
Made from Grand Champagne water in Cognac, this creamy style of wheat Vodka is given its unique texture through micro-oxygenation. It is distilled 5 times, slowly, to achieve a delicate, gradual separation of the aromatic compounds, while maintaining a high level of purity. Great as Martini Vodka or on its own.

Belvedere Vodka, Poland
22.30
Following traditions dating back over 600 years this vodka is handcrafted in the small town of Zyrardow on the Mazovian plains west of Warsaw. It is made entirely from Dankowskie Gold Rye and is distilled the optimum four times – three distillations leave minor imperfections, five strip away delicious flavour notes. There are hints of vanilla on the nose, a subtle smooth sweetness on the palate with a fresh clean finish that comes from using rye as the single ingredient.

Kauffman, Limited Edition Vintage Vodka, Russia, 2003
65.00
This is a limited edition of the only vintage vodka in the world. Produced in the years when the grain quality justifies the production of luxury vodka there are only 2000 of these and all the bottles are individually numbered. Distilled many times and filtered through quartz, this is purer than purer, with a sexily creamy mouth-feel and is the must have for the Vodka lover who has everything. The bottle design is said to symbolise Russia’s integration with the rest of the world.

Calvados:
Berneroy, Calvados No.5, Half
11.25

Henry de Querville Fine Calvados
19.50
Great calvados - awful label. Produced in the finest region - Pays Auge, Henry has sacrificed his appellation to create lovely toffee apple laden calvados that’s ready to drink. Claridges use this for cooking with, but they’re just showing off. Wee think its excellent value calvados and the perfect palate cleanser for rich creamy, buttery dishes and poached fruit puddings and pies.

Calvados, Domaine Dupont, Hors d’age
37.50
From a small family run estate this Calvados has been aged for 10 to 12 years in lightly toasted Loire oak and neither filtrated nor cold-stored. It is golden in colour with a floral nose. On the palate it is smooth and well balanced achieving a good compromise between the freshness of fruit and the concentration of old eau-de-vie.

Plantation Rum, Barbados, Old Reserve, 1995
28.00
This rum is made by traditional methods using small copper stills and then aged in bourbon casks. Like all the best Barbados rum it is rich and aromatic with strong notes of coconut and ripe vanilla on the nose. Dark Amber in colour, it is subtle and elegant on the palate, with a remarkable balance of ripe exotic fruits and oak flavours.

Fine De Bourgogne, Domaine de la Romanee Conti, 1986
200.00

‘Fine’ is a high quality brandy made in small quantities by distilling leftover wine (as distinct from ‘Marc’ which is made from the pomace, grape skins, and pips left after pressing) This ‘Fine’ from Burgundy’s undisputed finest domaine, is aged in oak for at least 12 years and acquires a tawny hue and nutty flavours. Annual production of this ‘Fine’ from DRC is fewer than 500 bottles. Yes, you really will be drinking the grape juice which comes from that hallowed soil; albeit in distilled form!
